Capital One Spark is a product geared toward the small business owner. The actual product is competitive (many say best-in-class) but in a space so dominated by American Express OPEN and Chase Ink, how do you cut through? Well, you have to start by building real credibility with the people you serve. You have to get out there on the road and talk to people, and you have to make meaningful connections on their terms. We created a platform that showed business owners that Capital One understands what running a small business in America today really means. We created I Am Small Business Proud.

This social media-powered road trip which saw two filmmakers (small business owners in their own right) on the road for 10 weeks, visiting 186 small businesses on their journey from coast to coast. I Am Small Business Proud captured the real stories and challenges of small business owners, and shared these experiences through a dedicated blog and on social media through daily posts, photos, and videos.
